so many things i wanted to change, but what does it matter in the end?
Maybe one day we’ll have them back again. There’s always hope.
10 DAYS TILL MATHIAS & I ARE MOVING INTO A BIGGER APARTMENT…AAAHR…I CAN’T WAIT!!!!
Hi!
Oh gosh this is a really hard question… The pattern I used to my skirt is custom made for this cosplay, due I couldn’t find any pattern which matched… but as a starter I used a pattern, which looked like this: http://angrychicken.typepad.com/angry_chicken/images/2008/06/30/skirt.jpg
I started by measuring my hips, so I knew how wide the top of the skirt should be.. then I added about 10 cm to the width, for the folds, and then I just started to fold (remember the folds should be closer to each other in the top than in the bottom.. and of course the fabric shall be wider in the bottom than in the top as well)..
Here I must say I had to redo this a lot of times to get it to fit me.. ( it still doesn’t fit me perfectly)..
after I made all the folds and had made it fit, I ironed it, and stitched it a bit, to make it stay in the folds (just in case the ironing didn’t hold)… and the I added a zipper in other side of the skirt (the side where the folds aren’t)
I know this is confusing, so please tell me if you don’t understand… or if you want to know more… ((I just got off from work, so I’m a bit tired, which makes me spell really badly.. and plz don’t look at the grammar, I know it sux))
One of the posts I will never get tired of reblogging.
